Learn Drupal Commerce at DrupalCon Chicago

With the recent unveiling of the beta release, I'm extremely excited to be at DrupalCon Chicago to promote the project and help new users figure out how to put the modules to work for them. I'll also be on the lookout for more developers interested in helping extend the functionality of Drupal Commerce through contributed modules.

You can find out more about the project and how to get involved in any of these ways:

  • Drupal Powered E-commerce Training
I'll be presenting a day long training workshop on Monday, March 7th. The training will involve recreating as a class the demo site as a way to learn about the various core components and systems that make up the project. The rest of the Commerce Guys will be on hand as we alternate between lessons and hands-on practice sessions.
  • Drupal Commerce: Setting up shop on Drupal 7
This will be my session in the regular session schedule where I breeze through an overview of Drupal Commerce and demonstrate the various aspects of the demo site worth noting. This will involve a look at the front end (including product displays, the cart, and checkout) followed by a behind the scenes look at how it's all put together on the back end.
  • Visit the Commerce Guys booth!
As sponsors of DrupalCon Chicago, Commerce Guys will have a booth where I'll be hanging out a lot of the week. Come by to pick my brain on the current status of Drupal Commerce or to see where you might best spend your time contributing to the project.

In addition to developers, we're always interested in talking to users with an eye for graphic design / theming (this site needs a facelift and we want to ensure there are Drupal Commerce enabled themes available), a love of documentation, and the ability to communicate Drupal's complexities to non-developers.

We'll be hanging out at group dinners and at the various parties throughout the week, so feel free to bother us any time. : )
