Product Attribute Prices

Hello, thanks for this wonderful project there has been some amazing work going on here.

I setup a few ubercart websites and it is has been strait forward for the admin to add attributes already setup with prices.

In Commerce from the documentation I can tell attributes are done with core fields somehow. I dont think it is clear how an admin would assign prices to those fields and or each option of a select list etc.

I am asking for an example or a link to how the demo was setup for this tshirt. http://demo.commerceguys.com/dc/catalog/wearables/looking-smiling-faces

Many thanks.

Forget about attributes. Commerce has no method of adding attributes (at least for the moment).

On the demo page, what look like options of small, medium, large, are in fact separate, individual products. Just like in a real-world physical clothing shop, size isn't something that you add-on to a product, it is the product on the shelf.

So, the price that you see is simply the price of the product. Go to admin/commerce/products/add and add four new products: One small, one medium, one large and one extra-large, and give each one a unique price. Getting them displayed like the demo is another process.

Documentation starts at http://www.drupalcommerce.org/node/290

Thanks for making this more clear Scott J. That would be a lot of work for most shops currently using ubercart. So I am guessing an attribute system that functions like ubercart's is a feature to look forward to then? Is there something in the works or some kind of suggested workflow I can help test you know about?

Yes, that has been the loudest complaint heard about the Commerce system. It suits some stores perfectly, and allows for easy tracking of stock levels for re-ordering, but doesn't suit stores that don't sell physical items, or that make-to-order.

The Commerce (bulk product creation) module aims to help ease this problem, and also read the ideas at http://drupal.org/node/971484 and http://drupal.org/node/1030896

I'm not positive, but Thomas Hunziker is working on a module at http://drupal.org/project/commerce_option that I think might be UC style attributes.
