I suggest to add option to subscribe at newsletter with simlenews module on this site and also to register on newsletter directly from a block, thsi will be very useful to have more strong and targeted voice for when commercewill be ready.

Great idea

This is a great idea, I second the motion :) I also wanted to point out that http://mailchimp.com has a free plan for up to 500 subscribers, and they're super awesome -- Drupal integration is great too. SimpleNews is a good module but one less thing to have to worry about to offload bulk news sending to the pros.
