Preload transactions/orders like bills for customers to login and see in cart till paid?

Funny, I looked deeper into ubercore -> druaplcommerce
after being reminded that ubercart was not a fork of drupal e-commerce...

lol I found there is a fork of ubercart ;)

But back to the general question,

Is it going to be possible to have some way to also use drupal7 dupalcommerce to preload transactions for customers to login and pay - ?

We're definitely designing checkout with this use case in mind based on my experience with Ubercart. In fact, the entire shopping cart UI could be optional. It could be that we end up with order specific checkout links or something... regardless of how it's implemented, a simple contrib should be able to nail it without having to do any backflips to work with the core modules.

I was viewing the DrupalCon Chicago video, very informative, and about half way through this was discussed, just a few seconds before 34 minutes for about 2 minutes, thank you.

Sounds like when we have a release candidate it will be able to do this just having the cart module disabled and send the customer the url for the checkout form...

WOW.

So we won't need to make a contrib if so, we just need to not enable the shopping cart. Just have to have access to back end to put in order and set owner I think.

Wonder if the beta with paypal is close enough to move
a low volume website that does invoices this way with old drupal ecommerce on drupal5?

A lot of notes and support requests are resolving information on the drupal issues site.
