Non Monetary Payment Options (Reward Points)

Is it currently possible to create a cart system that does not use currency for the price of objects, but rather points supplied by the organization?

Does drupal commerce have the ability to credit users with points/value to their profile that they can use to make purchases?

This is a late answer, but other might be interested ^^

Have you tried the Commerce Userpoints module that allows a user to purchase an order using his points provided by your website.
