"Shopping Cart Contents" Pan causing checkout errors when enabled, how to fix?

When "Shopping Cart Contents" are enabled anywhere within the checkout pane, my IE users cannot checkout from the store. This problem is maddening, as I have seen no way to correct this behavior. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A couple months into launch, and still no luck on this issue. I see this has been plaguing some other users as well and wondering how to correct it. Anyone with any insight?
