How do I show a new product type in a Kickstart's catalog page?

First, I created a new product type (I just looked into an original product type of Commerce Kickstart, and copied the parameters to my new one, I can say they are very similar).

Then, I added a product of this product type. I informed the catalog and category (comboboxes) that I would like this item to appear on the site.

The problem is that the product is not showing in the specific menu. I can only see the product in the "All the Products" menu, but not in the specific menu (the menu for the new "catalog" I created).

Well... when I add a product for the old original Kickstart's product type it's ok, I can see the product appears in the right catalog. But when I add a product of the new product type, it shows just in the "All the Products" page.

What I am missing? I couldn't find the solution.

I'm new to Drupal. I hope you could help me. Thank you!

I still didn't find the solution.
I discovered that if I go to "Structure -> Taxonomy -> Category -> Edit", and mark the option "Display number of items", it displays the correct number of items between parameters in the menu:
e.g.: "Computers (5)"

Although, only 2 items are shown in the list, which were the items added for the old original product type. =/

I am still looking for a solution.
Thanks

Hi

Did u create a product catalog with product types.

Create a view for product catalog. You can use this view based on the category.I mean single product view can be used for multiple categories. Please let me know if you need more explanation about creating product catalog

Hello ajaichandran,

No, I didn't create a view. I'm using the pre-existing View called "/collection_products" from Commerce Kickstart, which already list the original items in the menu options.
Do you know if this view shouldn't work for my case? Or I missing something, and I really need to create a different view?

When I go to "add a product", I register my new product linking it to a collection / category, but it doesn't show in the view when processing.

And the strange thing is that, for instance: if I add a new product to a category, the counter of the category increments, but still the item does not shows in its listing. (note: I can check that the category counter increments because I had let the "Display number of items" option enabled in the taxonomy "category" configuration)

Thanks for answering! Hope you can help me

Hi mumazza

Very sorry to know that you are struggling. I would like to know whether you have added two select boxes for category and catalog. Then tell me what is catalog list box?

If that is the case something we need to do in relationship in advanced tab of the /collection_products view .

Thanks
Ajai

Hello Ajai!

Yes, I'm still struggling for a couple weeks...

I created a new type of product (product variation) called "Boxes". Then, I created a product display for it. In this product display I added two fields as term reference: Collection and Category (NOTE: I just copied the parameters of one original product display of Commerce Kickstart, they are like the same...).

Then, when I add this product ("Add a product" menu), the two comboboxes for Collection and Category appears correctly (ok, because I added them in product display...). But, when I do add the product, the new item does not show in the respective collection page ("collection/boxes"). It's shown in "All products" menu, but not in collection.

So, do I need to change something in the view /collection_products? I didn't change anything on it, it's as the original of Kickstart.

Thanks!

Hello, I am having the same problem. In my /products page which displays All Products, I am getting 'Sorry, there are no matches for your search.' I have added product types and created product displays from these. I also created taxonomy for Category and one for Collection and added terms to these. I then referenced them in the content type and I then selected them from the drop down menus when I added products.

However, im still getting no products on the All Products ( /products ) page. Are you able to help me?

Thank you

When I go into the Display products (/products) view, in the advanced section, it looks like this:

Also, when I create a new variation type and add products of that type, this creates a page for me like so with the same name, but it doesn't display any products on the page and there is no way for me to add an image where the grey box is with the title at the top.
